Justin Berrie - Flute

Flutist Justin Berrie enjoys a diverse musical career as an orchestral flutist, chamber musician, and teacher. He was invited by Lorin Maazel to join the Symphonica Toscanini in Parma, Italy as Solo Flute in 2004, and during the next two years he participated on tours throughout Europe, Israel, China, Japan, and the USA.

Mr. Berrie joined the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra  for the 2008-2009 season and now performs frequently as an extra in the New York Philharmonic, and has made regular and guest Principal Flute appearances with the symphonies of Baltimore, Buffalo, Vermont, Albany, New Haven, and Springfield, Mass. During the summer, Mr. Berrie has performed chamber music with the Sinfonietta Porta Ferrada in St. Feliu de Guixols, Spain, and is Principal Flute and Academy faculty at the Wintergreen Music Festival in Virginia.  He currently resides in New York City, where he feels fortunate to be able to pursue his other passion of Finance as an associate at Capital Counsel LLC, an asset management firm.  Mr. Berrie earned a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester and also holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, the Juilliard School, and Yale University.
